Golden Dog

Boarding

  • Terms and conditions of Boarding

  • By booking and using our services you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

  • All dogs must be fully vaccinated and should cover their entire stay. We will need to see an up-to-date vaccination card each time you drop your pet off. We are unable to board any dog without valid vaccinations as this is part of our licencing conditions and for the safety of all other animals in our care.

  • We strongly recommend that you have your dog inoculated against Kennel Cough. (Canine Infectious Bronchitis). Please note, however, that Kennel Cough Vaccination does not guarantee that your pet will not show symptoms of the virus. If you decide to have this inoculation, it must be done at least three weeks prior to arriving at the kennels (this is a live vaccine, meaning they could pass it to another dog and they are not covered within those three weeks, so we would be unable to board your dog if three weeks has not passed). Woody’s boarding Kennels pet insurance does not cover symptoms of Kennel Cough.

  • A 50% non-refundable, deposit will be taken at time of booking, this is to secure your place. We cannot guarantee being able to change dates once a booking has been made, however, we will always endeavour to meet your requirements where possible. (We will not take provisional bookings)

  • All payments must be fully paid before your animal is taken from the premises.

  • 72 hours’ notice is required for cancelations.

  • Early collections or last-minute changes to bookings will be liable to full cost of original booking.

  • Single overnight boarding will not be subject to the ‘Collection before 10am discount’. Please see the price list page on our website for single overnight care.

  • Long term bookings require full payment up front and full payment at each extension.

  • Opening times must be adhered to for arrival and departure, there are no exceptions to these times as it causes stress to other boarders and disturbs daily routines.

  • Please disclose all relevant information to us about your animals. (Especially health related past, or present) there is nothing too small to mention.

  • Dogs must always be on lead and kept under your control.

  • Woody’s boarding kennels have the right to refuse any animal which appears to be in ill health or show aggression towards staff members.

  • All belongings are left at the owner’s risk, we will of course do our best to make sure everything is returned to you but sometimes dogs will destroy toys/ bedding even if they wouldn’t normally do so at home, or they get mixed up in the washing.

  • Our insurance will not cover any pre-existing conditions, symptoms of kennel cough or incidents of dog fighting and subsequent injury. (If your dog requires veterinary treatment from staying with us first clinical signs must be seen within a maximum of 48 hrs from leaving us. If for any reason you have an issue, please do not hesitate to contact us)

  • We will undertake to keep your pet(s) for up to 1 week after the expiry date of your booking, after which we reserve the right to find a new home for your pet(s) or otherwise dispose of it.

  • We reserve the right to revise our prices when necessary. (April of each year at a minimum, any prebooked dates will be affected)

  • if your pet does not travel well, it is your responsibility to inform us prior to any transportation. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the welfare of animals, we accept no responsibility for animals whilst being transported during our ‘collection and drop off service’.

Two French Bulldogs

Grooming

  • Normal Condition: It is assumed that you will bring your dog into the salon in Normal Condition. That is; that you groom your dog at home (right down to the skin) regularly between appointments. Any condition other than “Normal” will most probably take us longer to deal with and therefore could incur additional charges.

  • Matted dogs: should your dog need shaving/clipped down you, the owner must be aware that irritation could occur from the process. This could also uncover any nicks, cuts or other skin issues hidden by the matting.

  • The owner agrees that woody’s boarding kennels will not be held liable for any after-grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems “uncovered” by clipping off a badly matted, neglected coat.

  • If your dog requires sensitive shampoos or has skin allergies, please inform us when booking and on arrival.

  • We always work in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006.

  • Owner must inform us if the dog shows any signs of aggression while grooming. We reserve the right to stop a groom (even if unfinished) if the dog becomes aggressive.

  • Woody’s boarding kennels reserves the right to muzzle your dog or ask you to muzzle your own dog or to refuse to groom it if it represents a danger to us or other dogs in the salon. Unless this has been discussed and agreed beforehand, we reserve the right to turn your dog away without grooming it.

Please ensure your dog has had an adequate chance to relieve itself before you come to the grooming salon.

Three French Bullgod Puppies

Socialising while boarding

  • Safety is extremely important therefore it is a requirement that your dog shows no signs of aggression toward adults, children, or other dogs.

  • As the owner it is your responsibility to disclose any characteristics which may make your dog unsuitable for daycare. This can be anything not limited to behavioural/ health issues, antisocial or aggressive behaviour or excessive barking. Failure to disclose any such information will be deemed a breach of these terms and conditions.

  • All dogs must be up to date with vaccination, flea, and worming treatments.

  • We strongly recommend inoculation against kennel cough (see boarding conditions for more info)

  • Neutered dogs only over 9 months (all dogs are different so this will be considered on an individual dog basis) NO BITCHES IN SEASON

  • We ask that you do not bring your dog if it has had symptoms of vomiting or diarrhoea in the past 24 hours. We would not like to spread any type of illness to the other dogs, and you will be asked to collect your dog.

  • The inherent risk of free dog play is a puncture that may or may not require stitches, a nick on the ear that may bleed, scrapes and scratches. All of these can occur from normal dog play. Remember dogs play with teeth and claws which is normal for all dog play. Any such situation arising will be dealt with by trained handlers. However, we stress that all dogs attending Woody’s boarding kennels, Day Care will be at the owner’s own risk.

  • Woody’s boarding Kennels Pet Insurance does not cover injuries in the event of dogs fighting.

  • We must have, always, accurate details of the owner to include, name, address and contact telephone number and emergency contact

  • If you require your dog to be fed whilst in our care, please provide accurate details of what they require. All dogs will be fed separately and away from other dogs.

  • Latest collection time is 6:00pm should your dog not be collected we will keep them overnight where you will be required to pay the £15.00 boarding charge.

  • if your pet does not travel well it is your responsibility to inform us prior to any transportation. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the welfare of animals, we accept no responsibility for animals whilst being transported during our ‘collection and drop off service’
